May is where motivation gets exposed.
The weather improves. Life gets busier. Routines loosen up.
And suddenly, everything you were motivated for in January… doesn’t feel the same.
People think something is wrong with them.
There isn’t.
Motivation was never meant to carry your consistency.
It’s emotional. It’s inconsistent. It reacts to your environment.
That’s why at One Shot Wellness, we don’t build plans around motivation.
We build systems that work when motivation disappears.
Because it always does.
WHAT TO DO (SYSTEM OVER MOTIVATION PLAN)
Step 1: Accept this rule — motivation is optional
Your plan cannot depend on how you feel.
Step 2: Set a “minimum standard week”
Decide your lowest non-negotiable:
- 2 workouts/week minimum
- or 3 20-min sessions
- or 1 class + 1 walk
Step 3: Remove decision-making
Decide your workout days in advance.
Step 4: Create a “no zero days” rule
Even if it’s light movement, you show up.
Step 5: Track consistency, not intensity
Your win = showing up, not crushing workouts.
