Hit a Plateau? Here’s how to break through it.

Hit a plateau? 😖

Every fitness journey hits a plateau eventually. Whether you’re lifting the same weights, running the same distance, or struggling to see progress in any area, it’s frustrating. But the good news? Plateaus aren’t permanent.

Pushing vs Pivoting

There are two main strategies to breaking a plateau: pushing harder or pivoting your routine.

Push harder: If you’re consistently hitting the same goals, try increasing intensity. Add more weight, increase reps, or decrease rest time to challenge your body in new ways.
Pivot: Sometimes a shift in your programming can help. Try a new workout routine, add different exercises, or focus on a different area of fitness (e.g., more cardio if you’ve been focusing on strength). Changing your approach can stimulate growth.

The Bottom Line

A plateau doesn’t mean your progress has stopped. It’s your body’s way of telling you to adjust. Whether it’s by increasing intensity or trying something new, breaking through a plateau requires a mix of persistence and smart adjustments.
