HOW MUCH PROTEN DO YOU REALLY NEED?

Protein Panic? 🥩 You might be overthinking it.

The protein debate is everywhere in fitness. How much do you really need, and how can you make sure you’re getting enough? With all the noise out there, it’s easy to feel like you’re not doing enough. Let’s clear things up.

How Much Protein Is Enough?

The general recommendation for active individuals is around 1.2-2.0 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight per day. For example, if you weigh 70 kg (154 lbs), that would be 84-140 grams of protein per day. But don’t stress about hitting exact numbers.

It’s about consistency. Focus on protein-rich meals throughout the day, like lean meats, fish, eggs, legumes, and dairy. Protein shakes are also a convenient option, but they aren’t mandatory.

The Takeaway:

You don’t need to obsess over protein. It’s simpler than you think. A balanced diet with a variety of protein sources can meet your needs. Aim for good-quality sources, and you’ll be golden.
